BURBERRY MENS SHOW LIVESTREAM FROM MILAN

BURBERRY MEN’S SHOW LIVESTREAM @ 4pm UK (5pm CET) FROM MILAN

The Best Quilted jackets

Quilted jackets are still as popular as ever, and as we struggle to get through the pain and cold of the miserable first months of the year, here are my  best picks of quilted jackets for the season:

For something that is not going to break the bank,  this black nylon Quilted jacket from Topman is good value with contrasting corduroy collar and funnel neckline this wont disappoint and all for a mere £50.

 The Chelsea sports Quilted jacket.
Slim cut, quilted jacket by Barbour  which features a zip and popper fastening to the front, a funnel neck, long sleeves, flap covered hip pockets and jet pockets with a zip fastening and leather trim.

At the moment this jacket is priced at £109!

    Asos Quilted field jacket, £60
all over quilting design, concealed zip and high collar
   with button tabs.

Reiss is one of my favourite premium brands:
their 1971 Quilted shirt jacket features a high stand collar, 2 front and chest pockets and full length popper fastening currently this jacket is on sale for £75.00
excellent value for a premium product.

This is the Lavenham quilted cotton jacket and my favourite of the bunch, a true rival to Barbour jackets and available in countless colour and fabric combination. this jacket  Features a concealed button placket, three pocket styling with a logo label to chest and a stitched design
£225.00

Vivienne westwood AW11

Spring has arrived.

Nothing is better than when the sales have finished, the crap is cleared from the shelves and you've finally realised you actually didn't need all those 'bargain' sale items.
Hence the arrival of spring 11.

From scouring the stores at the new arrivals spring 11 is looking pretty good for the guys, military is back in a deconstructed lightweight effect with camp style shirts in tonal colours making a big appearance, tees are pure simple and over sized with minimal detailing in luxe fabrics, horizontal stripes continue in collections  less nautical  with a more monochrome twist.

Burberry Prorsum

For colour you probably cant get more colourful this season with NEON being the trend for the brave and bold.
labels to champion this look are: Jill Sander , Dries Van Norten, Prada and Dsquared.

My favourite collections so far are naturally Dior Homme of course,
I saw the full collection yesterday and its truly amazing.there are some hugely deconstructed pieces alongside the core collection, with subtle light weight tailored pieces ideal for layering.  Dior Hommes core monochrome pallet is of course visible but with the addition of strong Petrol blues.

Other favourites are Burberry Prorsum, Burberry is getting better and better although the collection is heavy in terms of outerwear and leathers the colour pallette, tailoring and diversity in the collection looks great.

Finally two other collections that I'm keeping my eye on are Maison martin margiela and Folk, both have some great knitwear and shirts that Ive already got my eye on once payday arrives - January is far too long a month.

Bring on that pay check !
